A bucket elevator is a mechanism used to transport bulk products vertically. (as in the case of grains, seeds, fertilizers, etc.).
Is the equivalent of a conveyor belt but vertically.
The function of the elevator is to take, by buckets, the product of a pit or pile, then transport it vertically at a high speed and by means of centrifugal force the product is thrown into another conduit whose function will be to distribute by the different channels the product and then reach its storage destination. This happens while the buckets descend empty to repeat the cyclic process.
In This system, the cargo trailers simply dump the product into the underground pits, which feed a fixed screw conveyors that transport the product to the elevator.
